Online Therapy in New Jersey

Online therapy can make it easier to access support without adding travel, commuting, or another appointment location to your week.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and provide virtual therapy to adults who are physically located in New Jersey at the time of their session.

Therapy services are provided through Healthstead Psychiatry, which manages scheduling, insurance participation, billing, and related administrative needs.

Therapy From Wherever
You Are in New Jersey

Telehealth allows therapy to take place through a secure video platform while you remain in your own environment.

For some people, that means joining from home. For others, it may mean finding a private space during a workday or scheduling around family and other responsibilities.

Online therapy can be especially helpful when travel time, transportation, work schedules, caregiving responsibilities, or distance from an office make regular in-person appointments more difficult.

You do not need to live near a specific office in order to work with me virtually.

As long as you are physically located in New Jersey during the session, telehealth may be an option.

Concerns I Work With

I work primarily with adults and may support concerns including:

Some people come to therapy with a specific diagnosis. Others simply know that something feels off, overwhelming, repetitive, or harder to manage than it used to.

Both are valid reasons to begin.

What Online Therapy Can Look Like

Online therapy does not have to feel impersonal.

The same kinds of conversations, reflection, skill-building, and therapeutic work that happen in an office can also happen through telehealth.

Depending on what you need, sessions may include:

  • Exploring patterns and experiences

  • Learning practical coping skills

  • Understanding emotions and reactions

  • Working through relationship concerns

  • Identifying triggers

  • Examining thoughts and beliefs

  • Building healthier boundaries

  • Processing grief or life changes

  • Strengthening emotional regulation

  • Exploring ambivalence about change

  • Understanding how past experiences may affect the present

My approach is flexible and individualized rather than based on one single therapy model.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is grounded in a person-centered approach and may incorporate elements of:

Different approaches may be useful at different times.

You do not need to know which therapy model you want before starting. Part of the work is figuring out what fits you.

Online Therapy for
Addiction & Recovery

Addiction and recovery have been a significant part of my clinical work throughout my career.

Therapy may include support around cravings, relapse prevention, motivation, co-occurring mental health concerns, relationships, shame, identity, and adjusting to life in recovery.

Recovery does not have to look the same for everyone. Therapy can help you explore what sustainable recovery means for you and what support may be needed along the way.

Online Therapy for
Anxiety, Mood &
Emotional Regulation

Anxiety, depression, mood changes, and difficulty regulating emotions can affect nearly every area of life.

You may understand logically that something is not dangerous or that a reaction feels disproportionate and still have difficulty changing what happens in the moment.

Therapy can help identify patterns, understand what may be contributing to them, strengthen coping strategies, and create more space between emotion and reaction.

Online Therapy for Relationships

& Life Changes

Therapy can also provide space to explore communication, boundaries, trust, recurring relationship patterns, grief, career changes, identity shifts, and other transitions.

Sometimes there is not a single “problem” to solve.

You may simply be trying to make sense of where you are, decide what comes next, or understand why something that used to work no longer does.

Is Online Therapy
Right for Everyone?

Telehealth works well for many people, but it is not necessarily the best fit for every situation.

Some people prefer being physically present in a therapy office. Others may not have enough privacy at home or may benefit from a level of structure or support that is difficult to provide virtually.

We can talk about whether telehealth appears appropriate for your needs and whether another level or type of care may be more appropriate when necessary.

Insurance, Scheduling & Fees

All psychotherapy services are provided through Healthstead Psychiatry.

Healthstead manages:

  • Scheduling

  • Insurance participation

  • Billing

  • Copays and deductibles

  • Self-pay information

  • Other administrative questions

Insurance coverage varies by plan, and participation with an insurance company does not necessarily mean every service is covered in full.

You can contact Healthstead directly for current insurance and billing information.

Not Sure If We’re a Good Fit?

Choosing a therapist is personal. If you would like to talk before scheduling, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.

This brief conversation gives you an opportunity to ask questions, tell me a little about what you are looking for, and get a sense of whether working together may feel like a good fit.
